so following tony's brilliant idea, a group of us went out to watch a czech silent movie comedy that involved a hairy gnome.

i'm serious.


it was an entertaining movie though, albeit mildy disturbing since some scenes took place in a slaughter house. i watched through my slightly spread fingers, chunks of cow, pig and chicken being sliced and brutally ripped apart

but still, silent movie with its zany movements and all, i was moved to tears by the plight of the mother.

if anything, the movie with its strange soundtrack and scenes highlighted how much like animals we humans are,

sometimes even more so than the creatures of the field and air.
