so after a few days of sunshine and cherry blossoms peeking out, shyly revealing their delicate pink slips
the man in the sky decides to throw us all a curve ball
and lets vancouver have hail in March
what the heck?
it's march, it's supposed to be getting warm.
instead i find myself battling the gusty winds of vancouver today and running from building to building, seeking refuge from the rains that seemed to continuously slap against me
on the plus side, there were the little thoughtful gestures that made me smile , things that i suppose, could only be revealed on a day like this.
leaving lasserre, me moaning about weather to friend, complete with lack of umbrella.
he, with nice black umbrella.
He: would you like me to cover you?
Me: (shrugging shoulders) sure
see, normally, when your friend is 6 feet plus tall, and you are five feet high and he offers to share his umbrella with you.. you're kinda indifferent about it.
you usually still get drenched whether or not that someone offers to share his umbrella with you, considering how the rain comes in at an angle.
but
he surprises me.
i stay dry and as i wonder at this
i realize that my friend has taken to stooping as he walks with me, so that we can share an umbrella effectively.
thank you. it's the little things like that that make my day
