how you can tell that econ profs sometimes are in a little world of their own

it's crunch time, i'm in the exam room, the table before me has three carefully placed blue pens, one orange mechanical pencil and a little holder of black pencil lead. my contribution to adding some colour into the otherwise stark white room.

my prof hands out the paper, writes on the white board with some green marker that doesn't really have much ink in it anyway and everyone has to kind of squint their eyes to even make out the first word

and then the instructions

"um, so if you turn to page 4 of your exam booklet, you'll find this page that's got all these scribbles in it. Ignore it, i was in a rush when i was photocopying your exam papers and i accidentally photocopied my dental appointment note with it. you can just rip that out now."-- prof

i guess all those math equations can get to anyone




oh and if anyone is curious, his dental appointment is at 2 pm tomorrow
