So GK was talking about debating when he mentioned his holy 3, but I figure its good advice for life in general as well. and I want to keep them in mind:

(1) Honesty: Be honest; fight dishonesty; do not hide behind complexity.

(2) Openness: Welcome opposition; listen openly; avoid stubbornness.

(3) Civility: Disagree with dignity; rebut with respect; no ends ever justify violating these rules.

I personally bullshit my way through a lot of my life. sometimes to cover up the fact that i don't know what i'm talking about or sometimes because i myself am as muddled as the next. but whatever it is, I hope that i can walk honestly, listen wisely, keep humility and remember that another's word is just as important.
