what leads to the madness? is it loneliness, or worse just pure idleness and the residue of a self-indulgent spirit that wanted more attention. and if it was a prank, what false bravado motivated these claims?

i don't understand how life could be treated so carelessly and callously.
but then again maybe i do treat life in the same way but in different forms: by closing my eyes to the troubles in my own backyard.

still what is it that drives someone to such an edge and make such a wanton waste of life?
