count your blessings

well, these are the blessings that come to mind.

1. tony and the infamous sign that read "i need roommates". also for buying me a hot chocolate. and for always giving me ice cream. ( i have a feeling i know how i'm going to get fat this year *grin*)

2. 4822 chancellor boulevard. the house that was a home i could love

3. andre for fixing up our lightbulb and being giving in so many ways... plus being the provider of family guy dvds

4. hannah: for being an awesome roomie. and waking me up when i need and should get out of bed.

5. uncle hwee yang, whom i have no blood relation to and only met him twice last year, and bump into randomly at regent college but who COOKS awesome singaporean food and gives it to hannah and myself. ho boy, you have no idea how much i appreciate coming back to a nice homecooked meal that's totally singaporean. he is a huge blessing.

6. for the friends in econ honours classes. that we are all in the same boat of lost confusion over theories explained in the form of mathematical symbols.. but we're all ready to leech any help from each other..

7. sarah: for the job at bluechip, and coffee times, and just good times

8. my parents for the opportunity to live in two worlds, i.e. singapore and vancouver... some might say ubc itself is another world.

9. dustin and belle: for surprising hannah and myself and making pancakes for breakfast for us one fine day

10. curt-o: for life lessons, for opportunities at bowen island (hello, how many singaporeans get to break up rocks with a mallet and do something akin to construction work???) and just stretching himself so much for the navs

11. greg: for taking all of us out in his car last night to calhouns and picking hannah up along the way. it's even more fun to hang out with all my roommates outside the house.

that's eleven blessings

and i'm not done yet.

my roommate hannah has been talking about how God isn't here to make our lives comfortable and i agree.
but for every moment in this life, whether comfortable or not comfortable.
there's some blessing to be found.
it's just whether i want to take time out to look at it.
