i am blessed.

even with stuffy noses. and pins and needles in my leg.

steph cooks dinner and whips up the extra special meal that shows how much attention and effort goes into the meal.
glen nags at me to take vitamin pills and makes ginseng tea for me.
hannah puts up with all my inconsistencies and lets me tag along in her adventures and live vicariously off her. the human leech i am...
sue drives me from place to place and makes it a point to call me out for coffee
garrett welcomes me into his small group and saves the blotchy chair for me in class.
curtis walks with me and shares with me his thoughts on books
sarah cheers for me as i take on glen in sudoku. (phone call tmw, will keep cell by side!)
thi makes me laugh and lets me indulge in bickering games with him

and beyond all this, i see admirable qualities in this people. things that let me know that i benefit beyond their care, i learn from them as well.

steph reminds me of discipline, of dedication and devotion. and is a yardstick for me to live up to.
glen reminds me of sensitivity, awareness and inner beauty. i see someone smart who doesn't let his intellect get to his head (or maybe those times when i beat him on online sudoku does that...) but one with also a gentleness in spirit
hannah inspires me. she always has and always does, there are too many things she has taught and shared with me over the years to be listed here. i at times envy her, but mostly look up to her.
sue reminds me of fine wine. witty funny capable. somebody i would like to be. firm, tough and yet compassionate.
garrett teaches me to not be exclusive, to welcome others and see the best in people.
curtis challenges me and makes me remember that seeking God is not a complacent passive activity.
sarah reminds me of faithfulness. this is what i see when i look at this girl.
thi provokes me to be true, to think beyond my bubble world and most of all, reminds me of a younger me that was maybe more secure.

there are alot of people who have given me something to ponder over, who have challenged me and helped me to grow.
but these listed above are my here and now.
