spanish versus the germans (in more ways than one)

wimbledon 2008, nadal vs kiefer
7-6, 6-2, 6-3

i have to say though the last set was just electrifying to watch. i think the crowd at wimbledon totally agrees with me. i've never heard the crowd do such a loud collective sigh when nadal performed some unforced error or cheer so loudly when kiefer fought his way back in the third set and delivered 5 beautiful aces to make an initial 0-5 set into a 3-5 game.

and nadal had some sweet beautiful shots. that guy really hunts down every single ball. i love it. the tenacity of his play and the fact that he can deliver a straightforward forehand shot at 105mph... amazing.

makes me want to get out there and play tennis.

anyway, i'm rooting for the spanish. and we'll have to see what tomorrow brings in the form of Euro 2008.
