it was to be expected.

you must adjust your expectation whenever you have bootleg versions of a program.
my pirated program has a business cycle of its own. it stops running every 15 minutes and i have to perform some social planner intervention, shut it off and start the program again to get it to each new equilibrium.

so yes, if i were to model this in ala a Diamond styled trading externality model... mine would have some strange poisson arrival process that the program lasts xx minutes long and that i get to complete whatever part of my work before it freezes up on me again.

its a lesson in cultivating patience...
and learning to save after every single step you take.
