it is during that is the hardest
the movements back and forth
the building up of an infinite sentence
clauses and phrases clambering over each other
words straining to break free, but jumbling, tangling
eventually only garbled speech.
it is in the during that
thoughts meander and climb
but as with each sentence unfinished, trail off
nondescript form, shapeless being
dot dot dot

it is the during that is the hardest
because here is your clay
o waiting to be moulded
to be given form and breathed into life
to take flight and reach some higher heights
but in the during, is wide stretched out space,
in quietness, the pages of a book flipped back

in the during , we see ourselves clearly
and must learn to live with our reflected "me"s
