UAE says that Canadian travellers to the UAE will have to pay CAD$1000, $500, $250 for a 6-month, 3-month and 30 day travel visas respectively. However, if you fly on Emirates or Etihad into the UAE, these airlines are permitted to offer Canadians 30-day travel visas worth $72.50.
Very unusual form of pricing war and/or government policy that supports a domestic industry!!
